How to FTP using FlashFXP
- Get FlashFXP - (Click Here).
- Start FlashFXP.
- Open the "Quick Connect" dialog by clicking on the File menu and selecting Quick Connect.. Alternatively, you may use your F8 key to access this feature.
- A dialog that looks like the one below will appear. Fill your hostname or IP (in this case it is probably an IP, such as.. 66.98.184.58) into the Server or Url box, your username in the User Name box, and your password in the Password box, optionally you can put /public_html/ in the Remote Path box to save you time in the future. Click Connect when finished.
- If you have typed all of your information correctly, the right side of your main screen will show the contents of your home directory on our servers, the left side are files on your PC. You may copy files from/to your computer by dragging them between the panes of FlashFXP.
- Once you are connected to the site you can save all of your preferences for quick future use. Click on Sites, then Add Current Site and you're set.
- Next time you start FlashFXP you can quickly log into your FTP account by clicking on the Lightning Bolt above the right pane. Then click on the IP/Name of the server you wish to connect to.
